Search engines perform various activities to provide search results.
Crawling - The process of retrieving all web pages linked to a website. This is done by a software called Crawler or Spider (or Google's Googlebot).
Indexing - The process of creating indexes for all web pages brought in and storing them in a large database where it can be retrieved later. Basically, the indexing process is to identify the words and expressions that best describe the page and assign the page to specific keywords.
Processing - When a search request arrives, the search engine processes it, that is, it compares the search string of the search request to the indexed pages of the database.
Calculate relevance - Probably more than one page has a search string, so search engines start calculating the relevance of each page in its index with the search string.
Retrieving Results - The last step in search engine activity is to retrieve the best-matched results. Basically, it is nothing more than a display in the browser.

Although the basic principles of operation of all search engines are the same, minor differences in their relevance algorithms make a big difference in the relevance of the results.

White hat SEO - The technique that search engines recommend as part of a good design.
Black hat SEO - a strategy that is not approved by search engines and seeks to reduce its impact. These technique are also known as spam dexting.
White hat seo
An SEO strategy is considered a white hat if it has the following features:
It adheres to search engine guidelines.
It does not involve any fraud.
This ensures that the content that the search engine indexes and subsequently ranks will be visible to the user.
This ensures that the content of a web page should be created for users, not just search engines.
This ensures good quality of web pages.
This ensures the availability of useful content on website pages
Always follow a white hat SEO strategy and don't try to fool your site visitors. Be honest and you will definitely get more.
Black hat or spamdexing
An SEO strategy that is considered black hat or spamdexing if it has the following features:
Attempts to improve rankings that may be rejected by search engines and / or involve fraud.
Redirect users to a page designed for search engines that is more human friendly.
Redirect users to a page that is different from the page ranked by search engines.
Presenting one version of a page to a search engine spider / bot and another version to human visitors. This is called cloaking SEO strategy.
Use hidden or invisible text, or use a smaller font size, including the background color of the page, or hide them in the "No Frames" section, like HTML code.
Repeat keywords in metatags and use keywords that are not related to the content of the website. This is called metatag stuffing.
Counting keywords within a page to increase the number, variety, and page density of keywords. This is called keyword stuffing.
Creating low-quality web pages that have very little content, but instead are full of very similar keywords and phrases. These pages are called gateways or gateway pages.
Mirror websites by hosting multiple websites - all with conceptually identical content but using different URLs.
Creating a fake copy of a popular website that looks the same as the original content for web crawlers, but redirects web surfers to unrelated or harmful websites. This is called page hijacking.
Always stay away from top black hat strategies to improve your site rank. Search engines are smart enough to spot all of the above features of your site and in the end you will find nothing.
