Importance of Blogging. 

Most people in the world today have access to the Internet.  Some of them are earning millions of rupees for entertainment, some for education, and some for the internet.

Blogging is a great way to make money online, but many people still don't know it.  Even today, when I tell my relatives and people around me that I am a blogger, 90% of them do not even know the meaning.

Meaning of Blogs

A blog originally comes from the word "weblog" or "weblog".

A blog is a type of website where you publish your blog post in chronological order.  Through blog posts, we share information, ideas or knowledge on any one topic with others.

Typically, the blog is updated frequently (once a day, once a week, once a month).  It is exactly like our diary in which we write something every day and every page of it is like a blog post.

If you want information about a keyword inside Google search, then in response to that, the result showing you the emphasis is all the blog posts.

Blogging history

Unofficially, the first blog ever created was created by Justin Hall (links.net) in 1994.

The term "weblog" was first (officially) announced in 1997 by Jorn Barger.

In 1999, Peter Merholz shortened "weblog" to "blog".

Blogspot was launched in 1999 and was later acquired by Google in 2003.  Blogspot was the first real blogging platform, which made it a real option in the early days of blogging.

When WordPress launched in 2003, it completely changed blogging.  This is because it is open-source software – the first blogging software that allowed users and developers to manipulate the code.  Today, over 30% of the internet runs on WordPress.

Website vs blogsite

A blog is a type of website.  The only real difference between these two is that the blog is regularly updated with new content.

Mainly websites are a combination of some static pages.  Here the content is organized in pages and its content is not updated regularly.

Blogs are generally run by an individual or a small group of people to share information.

Website is generally created for business, company, product and services, organization.

Key elements that identify a blog post include publishing date, author reference, categories, and tags.  While not all blog posts contain all those elements, a static website page does not contain any of these items.

What is the Meaning of Blogging 

Blogging is a set of many skills that are required to run and control a blog.  The whole process of writing, posting, linking, and sharing content is called blogging.

You have to learn skills like content writing, SEO (on-page & off-page), keyword research, email marketing, blog promotion within blogging.

You do not need to join any institute or paid course to learn it.  There are many such free blogs and YouTube channels from where you can learn free blogging.

There are many advantages, due to which today even big business organizations run blogs on their websites.

Provides a platform to organize your thoughts and ideas.

Allows you to show your skills, creativity, and talent.

Helps in gaining authority within any industry.

For many bloggers, this is a way to earn money.

Use blogging to take your business to more customers.

Non-profits can use blogs to raise awareness, run social media campaigns, and influence public opinion.

What is the Meaning of Bloggers 

A blogger is a person who writes and maintains a blog.

A blogger is someone who runs and controls a blog

Like or not Teaching is a profession and the one who does it is called Teacher.  In the same way, blogging is also a profession, and the person who does blogging is called a blogger.

Example: digitalmarketingtipsalways. XYZ is a blog and I update, maintain it, so I (Aashish Maurya) am a blogger and the work I do is called blogging.
