What is meaning affiliate Marketing

Affiliate marketing is a means of earning money through sales commissions by marketing the products of big brands online. It is one of the most popular ways to make money online At present, the size of this industry is more than 12 billion dollars  Young people from many countries around the world, including Bangladesh, have become self-reliant through affiliate marketing. Do you also want to make money online by working from home?

So let's get started.

How does affiliate marketing work?

Affiliate marketing is the process of promoting another company's product and earning a commission in return (when the buyer buys the product). This model has not yet been adopted by companies in our country, but almost all of the major companies around the world have affiliate programs. Again, affiliate network 7 has been developed with affiliate programs of many companies  For example, Amazon Associates is a large and well-known affiliate network. Now I will try to give you an idea about how affiliate marketing works. There are basically 3 parties involved.

Product sellers,

Product or product sellers basically start affiliate programs. It could be big companies like Amazon or any company that is offering their products or services.  Take Adidas for example. We are all familiar with this world-famous sports brand. Adidas also has affiliate programs.

Affiliate partner

Content publishers or video creators who have participated in an affiliate program as a partner. They are promoting the seller's product through their content and are getting a certain percentage commission in return for selling it. Since you are reading this article, you also want to be an affiliate partner!

Consumers or buyers

Consumers or buyers are buying or exchanging goods or services for money by seeing or reading the content of publishers.

When a publisher signs up for an affiliate program, the product they want to promote is affiliate link’ is given  Then he uses this link in the content he created  Content can be a blog post or a review article, or a video.

When a consumer sees or reads this content and becomes convinced to buy the product and clicks on that link, a small file (called a cookie) will be saved in their browser. If he /she finally buys the product, he/she will be able to identify the product seller through that cookie file. The percentage of the commission depends on which affiliate program you are participating in and what kind of product you are working on. We will discuss this in more detail in the following chapters

Now let's make the whole thing a little clearer through a real-life example  Suppose I am a publisher. I have created a website on mobile accessories In addition, I have joined Amazon Associates as an affiliate partner. When I publish content on my website on a variety of mobile accessories and put some affiliate links there.

Now if a visitor comes and reads the articles I have written and wants to buy an accessory and clicks on the link to go to Amazon and buy the product from there, I will get a certain amount of commission in return. Because I basically inspired him to buy through my written articles.
